A man was rescued in the mountains in the Santa Cruz town of El Chaltén after suffering a serious head trauma while climbing. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), as indicated by the Ministry of Defense, the operation was completed with a helicopter from the Army Aviation Section 11 in the Fitz Roy range. The operation was a success, concluding with the evacuation of the man. The Director of Fires and Emergencies of National Parks requested the deployment following the accident that resulted in a serious head trauma on Aguja Poincenot mountain. The victim was rescued by two pilots and a mechanic who performed a high-precision operation at 2,200 meters, and the injured man was transferred to the El Calafate Regional Hospital.
